Originally from just west of Atlanta, GA., Kayla- Beth moved down to lower Alabama in 2021 to be closer to family. One of the first things she noticed was the difficulty finding an OT job in pediatrics within a reasonable distance from where she lived (Grand Bay, AL). This challenge made her think, “If it is this hard to find a place to work in pediatrics, how much more difficult is it to find services for your child with special needs?” Parents want to do everything they can to support their children and many are willing to make the drive, but they shouldn't have to. Because of this, Playful Minds Pediatric Therapy, LLC was opened to allow increased availability of services for children with special needs and their families in lower Alabama.
